Outcome: Participants develop strategies for initiating and sustaining technology and instructional innovations within their district.
Portfolio Entry Narrative: One of my favorite things to have learned during my own eMINTS training was the topic of the web quest. I LOVED using them with my students and my students loved them just as much. When I transitioned to my current position, I volunteered to teach classes on what a web quest was and how to build one for yourself. Below, you will see four videos I used in my online classroom to instruct my participants in a flipped style of learning.
I am also responsible for assisting faculty, staff, and parents with technical issues. After receiving the same types of questions multiple times from different groups, I decided to create several how-to videos/documents and post them on my Moodle page. People were then able to access those videos/documents at their leisure and learn how to do a particular task. Below, you'll see a screenshot of the section in my Moodle page where I've posted my How-To information. I've also included two examples provided to the people whom I help.

As part of my position, I am required to work not just with the teachers in my feeder patter, but also the teachers across the county. The instances where I work with them are during our summer professional development sessions and at our summer conference, GRITC (Gulf Regional Innovative Teaching Conference).
Summer PD: We offer four tracks of PD titles that we've developed as a team. Here is a link to the summer professional development page in Moodle. All of our materials for these sessions are listed here. As a team of seven, we offered each track twice in two different locations, to ensure everyone in the county had plenty of opportunity to receive the training that was most applicable to them.
GRITC: This two day conference is always held during the last week of July. It was previously centered around technology in education. However, as we continue to grow and develop in our use of educational technology, we've shifted the focus from tech use to innovative teaching; if that includes technology, that's fantastic. If it doesn't, that's fine, too. Each year, even prior to being in this position, I have taught at least one session at GRITC. My past topics have included Using Promethean Boards and ActivExpressions, Beyond Powerpoint and Keynote, Thematic Units in the Secondary Classroom, and Tools for the Writing Classroom. I've always enjoyed this conference, both as a presenter and an attendee.
